  • 1 = Passenger Airbag with Key Switch / Belt Warning (PR-4UE+9P0/9P1)
  • 2 = Passenger Airbag with Seat Occupation Detection / Belt Warning (PR-4UB+9P5)
  • 3 = with Belt Warning (PR-4UE+9P3) OR Passenger Airbag with Seat Occupation Detection / Belt Warning (PR-4UB+9P3)
  • 4 = Passenger Airbag with Key Switch / Belt Warning (PR-4UF+9P3)
• 0x3x?xx: Side Airbags
  • 6 = Front Side Airbags with Head Airbags (PR-4X3)

• PR-9P5 = Press-Button-Belt-Buckle with Seat Belt Warning Contact and Seat Occupation Recognition for Passenger Airbag, usually North America (USA/Canada)

• Note: On some USA/Canada model cars, 9P5 may not be listed on the build sticker. On US/Canada models, if 4UB is on the sticker, but no 9Px code is, 9P5 should be assumed.

Adaptation

Mostly used to deactivate individual airbag components (see repair manual for details).

• 02 = Front: C54 / Rear: C38 (PR-1LZ+1KD)
• 04 = Front: FN3 15″ / Rear: C38 (PR-1LB/1LE+1KD)
• 06 = Front: FN3 16″ / Rear: C38 (PR-1LT/1LF+1KP)
• 12 = Front: FNR G60 16″ / Rear: CII 41 (PR-1LA/1LC/1LD-1KW)
• 14 = Front: FNR G60 17″ / Rear: CII 43 (PR-1LJ+1KE)
• 20 = Front: Brembo M6 19″ / Rear: CII 43 (PR-1LU+1KY)
• 22 = Front: Brembo M8 18″ / Rear: CII 43 (PR-1LP+1KY or PR-1LV+2EG)

To start the process for vehicle data (VIN) learning, enter/save 02905 as new value.

Seat Occupied Recognition Control Module (J706)

If the Seat Occupied Recognition Control Module (J706) or the seat itself have been replaced, the basic setting has to be performed.

Special Procedures

Seat Occupied Recognition Control Module (J706): Reset

If a repair on the Seat Occupied Recognition has been performed, a reset has to be performed too.

Prerequisites:

• Seat in normal position.
• Seat must NOT be occupied during the whole procedure.
• Seatbelt must NOT be plugged in.
• No faults in the system.
• Interior temperature must be between 0 °C and 37 °C (32 °F and 98 °F).
